Admiration From Common People Means Nothing To Me
Of what account are praise and adulation from men whom you don’t respect? Have you ever felt the longing for someone you could admire? For something, not to look down at, but up to?” — Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand
I consider myself a workaholic. I wake up at 1 am every day, work to 4:30 am, and take a nap until 6 am. From 6 am to 7 am I hit the park and exercise. 8 am to 2 pm I get to the grind on business. From 2 pm to 3 pm I exercise again. From 3 pm until 8 pm, I grind and do it all over again.
I have a mission, I have a dream, and I have a goal that I want to accomplish.
I will accomplish my dreams or die in tbe process of trying to accomplish it.
I have sacrificed so much and am MORE THAN willing to sacrifice my life if it means my dreams will live.
I have lived in different Airbnbs, and everywhere I go, I have a set routine that I follow it always amazes me how people view my work ethic as something astonishing.
What is so hard about taking control of your life and doing what you need to do to have the life that you want?
One of the chicks at the Airbnb I am currently staying at and I were talking one day — and she said how much she and another person admired me for how focused I am and how hard I work.
And I guess many people would be flattered by this, but for me, I am doing the BARE MINIMUM to have the life that I WANT.
I kept telling her, what I am doing is nothing amazing.
Like the bar that some people set is so low that they perceive any attempt as something that should be praised.
Why is working seen as something that deserves applause or contempt from people?
Why is staying focused on YOUR LIFE GOAL and MISSION something that is to be admired?
